Dr Julia Martin-Ortega

Dr Julia Martin-Ortega (co-lead WP3) has more than 10 years of interdisciplinary research experience, translating biophysical processes and models in terms of water ecosystem service delivery and human-wellbeing. She led the James Hutton Institute’s contribution to the Scottish Government’s work on understanding people's values and preferences of peatland restoration in Scotland (2011-2016). She is author of 32 ISI-indexed papers and ~50 other peer reviewed publications, including the first global Water Ecosystem Services monograph published by CUP.
