Dr Klaus Glenk

Dr Klaus Glenk (CoI) leads the Sustainable Ecosystems team at Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) and has 10 years of experience in applied cost-benefit analysis of environmental policy interventions including climate change mitigation and adaptation in agriculture, peatland restoration and soil management.

He has been PI and Co-I on several projects for NERC, EU FP7, and government bodies and committees (DEFRA, SEPA, Scottish Government), including two VNNprojects on ‘Valuing Peatlands’ and ‘Valuing the impacts of ecosystem service interactions for policy effectiveness’, and is now leading on the economics of peatland restoration in the Scottish Government Rural Affairs & the Environment Portfolio Strategic Research Programme 2016–2021.
