Prof Mark Whittingham (CoI; Co-lead WP2), is an experienced ecologist who did his PhD in the uplands of the North Pennines and has managed a wide range of research projects funded by BBSRC, ESRC, NERC, RELU, Defra, NE, RSPB, Scottish Windfarms Bird Steering Group, BSG Ecology and a range of industrial companies. He was an IPBES European and Central Asia Lead AuthorSenior Editor of Journal of Applied Ecology. His papers have been cited >4500 times.
